User Guide

Short guide for everyday work in myplanerdesk.

1) Creating an activity

Go to Activities > New activity.

  • Required fields are: Title, Start date and time, Status.
  • Optional fields: End date and time, Next contact, Priority, Description.

2) Client: selection or manual entry

  • If the client exists in your database, select it in “Select contact from database”.
  • If the client does not exist, leave the selection empty and fill manually: Contact name, Company, Position.

3) Rescheduling an activity

  • Open an activity from the list and update “Reschedule start” on details.
  • In the same form you can also save the new status and “Done” notes.

4) Reports

  • Open activities: date range, client, company, priority, sorting.
  • Planned activities: period-based view with ISNULL logic for next meeting and end date.
  • Print activities: advanced criteria for detailed review.
  • All reports support Excel and PDF export.

5) Contacts

  • Go to Contacts > New contact and enter name, company, position, phone, email, and notes.
  • For larger lists, use Import from Excel on the contacts list.
  • When creating an activity, select a contact from the database or enter details manually.

6) Address book

  • Go to Address book > New entry and enter a name (e.g. company or location), full address, and location (city or coordinates).
  • The location field opens Google Maps — useful for visit planning and field work.
  • Keep the address book updated alongside contacts: contacts for people and companies, address book for physical addresses and maps.

7) Data entry tip

For best search and reporting results, always fill Title, Status, Start date and, when possible, link the activity to a contact from the database. Store addresses in the address book for quick map access.
